Lorac Pro Matte Palette Review

Just bought this Lorac Pro Matte Palette palette a few weeks ago and I'm absolutely LOVING it!

It's super friendly to all makeup enthusiasts. Whether you're a beginner or an intermediate, this is an exceptional palette. It is very functional and very easy to use.

As you can see, I've swatched each colour twice. Once with no primer (left) and with Essence's I Love Stage (right). (From far left) Bare, Latte, Corduroy, Chocolate, Linen, Pink Mauve, Burgundy, and Jet Black.

^I'm actually wearing this one my eyes in this picture.^ I would recommend this palette to everyone I know. It's creamy and very blend-able. Highly pigmented without having terrible fallout from your brush.

Pros: creamy texture, highly pigmented, suitable for everyone, sophisticated matte look, affordable, easily create day looks and night looks, the list goes on!

Cons: packaging gets dirty really easily (if powder transfers onto it, it's gonna stick like no tomorrow)

I hope this helps and like always, I hope this inspires you.

On Dylan: Shirt - Urban Planet, Scarf - Missing Label, Jeans - Aeropostale, Shoes - Vans

On Camille: Shirt, Skirt & Mini Backpack - Missing Label, Socks - Forever 21, Shoes - Dr. Martens, Earrings - The Bay, Septum Ring - Claire's, Watch - Guess

Firstly, a huge thanks goes to my lovely partner for participating in this shoot. He's normally the one taking the photos but I hope he decides to try this again.  As you can guess, all the "missing label" items are thrifted. All but one. The scarf Dylan is wearing was actually purchased on my trip to Italy but it didn't actually come with a tag or label stitched into it. I I absolutely love this look for both of us and I hope it inspires you.

ipsy August 2015

This month's bag is the definition of adorable! The hounds-tooth is to die for and the pink accent zipper makes me think I'll find use for this one. The theme is cute for this month. Prep School is just in time for everyone scrambling for September back-to-school. The value of this bag is roughly $60+ and totally worth what I paid! If you don't already know, ipsy is a $10 monthly subscription (about $20 if you live in Canada) and is worth every penny.

So let's talk about what I got! In my bag I received a mini Batiste dry shampoo, a Starlooks PRO felt tipped eyeliner, Swissco Tweezers, AILA nail polish in Mister Pookies and a Hikari lip gloss in Merlot.
First off, the Batiste dry shampoo is something I hear lots of good things about, so I happy to try it. The smell is a bit much but it fades quickly enough that it doesn't matter. It's an effective instant refresher and I would definitely recommend. The felt tip liner and tweezers are also good (honestly not much else to say there). Is it weird that I've got that one random picture of my toes? I think you definitely needed proof that only a swatch would give you. The bottle says purple/grey but my toes say nearly black. Finally, the Hikari gloss is in a killer colour! LOVE. Only downside has got to be how tacky it is. I hate when a lip product makes my lips stick together but I can make exceptions for such purdy shades.

Make Up Your Mind

Dress - H&M, Earrings - Claire's, Watch - Guess, Upper Arm Band - Claire's

I hate to say this but everything I'm wearing is firsthand. You can tell I was definitely feeling a Coachella/Osheaga vibe in this look. I'm absolutely in love with festival looks for the summer. My dress is actually from a Coachella line by H&M, so it definitely suits the theme. When I bought it, the fringe was about a foot longer. I'm very short, so it'd probably suit a taller than average person better. (If you're interested in knowing how I shortened it, I just cut the fringe to the desired length and brought them over a small flame to seal the thread.) That's all for now and I hope this inspired you to create your own festival look.

All Day And All Of The Night

Dress - Seduction, Jacket - H&M, Shoes - Jessica, Cuff - Six, Earrings - Claire's, Necklace - Magnolia

The dress? Thrifted. The jacket? Thrifted! I bought the dress in the spring and the jacket a few years ago. I thought this look would definitely be an edgy going out look. Loving the red and just in time for cooler nights. That's all for now, I hope this inspires you.

I Wanna Be Yours

Dress - Urban Planet, Purse - Saturday by Kate Spade, Shoes - Zara, Watch - Guess, Earrings - Claire's, Necklace - Magnolia

Absolutely nothing I'm wearing was thrifted. You don't need to tell me, I know I've disappointed you. By on the plus side, you might still be able to snag a few of these items. I was definitely feeling the florals today. I hope this inspires you.
